Unless you are an IT tech or a website builder you could go all your life and never see HTML code, but I guarantee you have seen its work innumerable times!

HTML is an acronym for Hyper Text Markup Language, and it is what makes the Internet work. Without HTML your browser and search engine would have nothing to find. Facebook and all other websites would not exist. EVERYTHING you see on the internet is visible only through the good graces of HTML and your browser to read it. When you post a photo to your Facebook page, for instance, it doesn’t just magically go to where you want it, resize itself and stay there forever for all your firends to click and share. It first has to be HTML encoded then “embedded” in the right place in the existing code for that particular page. Only then can you see it appear on your page.
